Toward Urban Shalom
We connect global faith networks for shared learning, strategic partnership, and coordinated action—so urban communities can flourish in the shalom of God.

What we do
CitiesCollab connects practitioners, scholars, pastors, urban leaders, and organizations across continents to align Gospel witness with place-based action.

How we work
Shared learning, strategic partnerships, and coordinated initiatives—so Christians can engage urban realities with wisdom, collaboration, and hope.

Where we aim
Neighborhoods renewed. Communities strengthened. Cities becoming places of shalom—where people flourish, creation is tended with care, and the life and reign of Christ shape shared life.

Our story
CitiesCollab is a platform for collaboration between the World Evangelical Alliance and the Lausanne Movement. As global networks with deep roots in churches, ministries, and city-focused leaders and networks around the world, our aim is to catalyze transformative initiatives at the national, regional, and global scale that can help cities, towns and villages become places of flourishing commensurate with the Shalom of God for all.
By connecting practitioners, scholars, pastors, urban leaders, and organizations across continents, CitiesCollab seeks to align Gospel witness with place-based action—equipping Christians to engage the complex realities of cities with wisdom, collaboration, and hope. Through shared learning, strategic partnerships, and coordinated initiatives, we aim to see neighborhoods renewed, communities strengthened, and cities become places of shalom—where communities flourish, creation is tended with care, and the life and reign of Christ shape the shared life of the city.
This newly launched collaboration emerged from conversations between Dr. Chris Elisara, WEA Special Envoy for the Environment, Climate, and Cities, and Dr. Jacob Bloemberg, Lausanne Catalyst for Cities, at the WEA General Assembly in Seoul, South Korea, in October 2025.
Join us as we build a shared platform for learning, collaboration, and action in cities. Check back regularly—and stay connected—as new initiatives, partners, and resources are introduced.
